Madonna reveals how her new album 'Confessions II' came together! In previously unreleased studio footage and interviews, the producers Stuart Price and Andrew Watt talk about the making of the album and the inspiration behind the songs.
More than 20 years after her hit album 'Confessions on a Dance Floor' Madonna returned to the studio with producer Stuart Price. The idea for the new album came after her 'Celebration Tour' in 2023 and 2024.
According to Price it wasn't about repeating the past, but about taking new musical directions. 'Confessions II' blends modern dance sounds with personal stories from Madonna's life.
In particular the song 'Danceteria' harks back to her early days in New York. Producer Andrew Watt revealed that Madonna drew on her memories of the legendary 1980s club scene for the track.
The album also features stars like Sabrina Carpenter, Martin Garrix, Stromae, Feid and Madonna's daughter Lola Leon.
'Confessions II' hit No. 1 on the Billboard 200. On October 15 four more behind-the-scenes videos are set to be released, offering extra insight into the studio work.
